Summary: Andy offers what he calls an unpopular view on imposter syndrome in coaching. He argues that if you feel like an imposter, you may well be exaggerating who you are, and he criticises ‘fake it till you make it’ and long lists of accreditations. He recommends being honest about your stage: if you are starting out or still working on your own issues, say so and describe it as gaining experience.
