Mental Health Crisis Disclaimer
Effective Date: 25th March 2025
The services provided by Andrew T. Austin and The Fresh Brain Company Ltd — including therapy, coaching, training, and educational content — are designed to support personal development, emotional insight, and well-being. However, they are not a substitute for medical or psychiatric diagnosis, treatment, or emergency intervention.
1. Not an Emergency Service
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, are at risk of harming yourself or others, or are feeling unsafe in any way, please seek immediate professional or emergency help. We are not able to provide crisis support or 24/7 assistance.
2. Who to Contact in a Crisis (UK)
- Emergency Services: Call 999
- Samaritans (24/7): Call 116 123 or visit www.samaritans.org
- NHS 111: Call 111 for urgent medical advice
- Local GP or Mental Health Crisis Team: Contact your local NHS provider
3. Scope of Our Services
While our work may explore emotional or psychological topics, it is delivered within a framework of personal development, education, and coaching — not clinical therapy. Clients who require diagnosis, medication, or treatment for acute mental health conditions are advised to work with a qualified medical or mental health professional such as a GP, psychiatrist, or clinical psychologist.
4. Duty of Care
If, during the course of our work, it becomes clear that someone may be at risk of serious harm, we may need to take appropriate action or signpost to emergency services, in line with our Safeguarding Policy and Duty of Candour.
5. Compassion and Respect
We recognise that seeking help is a sign of strength, and we are committed to treating all clients and visitors with empathy, dignity, and care. If you’re unsure whether our services are right for your current needs, please feel free to contact us before booking.
