Summary: First in a series on marketing for coaches. Andy says many coaches, therapists and practitioners market themselves poorly, and that grand claims tend to gain the most attention. He advises against long strings of letters, accreditations and lists of courses attended, argues that exaggerated self-promotion is dishonest towards customers and oneself, and suggests honesty about guarantees.
