Summary: Andy reviews a chapter that began as a page on one of his earliest websites in the 1990s. He discusses why some NLP practitioners and therapists may avoid severe mental illness, touching on the lack of psychiatric infrastructure, the different status attached to medical conditions, and how status can influence what practitioners choose to specialise in and advertise.
